With user consent, SCRAPDIG may access: Camera, Gallery/photos, Microphone, Location services, and Notification permissions. Such permissions are used solely for operational and service-related purposes including:

• Uploading waste images
• Pickup coordination
• Customer support
• Identity or issue verification
• Service functionality and optimization

Users may revoke permissions anytime through device settings. However, certain features may not function properly after revocation.

2. HOW WE USE USER INFORMATION

SCRAPDIG may use collected information for:

• Account registration and management
• Waste pickup scheduling and operations
• Wallet and payment processing
• Customer support & communications
• Notifications and updates
• Fraud detection and prevention
• Security monitoring
• Service improvement and analytics
• Legal and regulatory compliance
• Dispute handling and investigation

SCRAPDIG may also use aggregated and anonymized information for sustainability reporting, operational analytics, environmental impact analysis, and research/business insights. Such aggregated data does not intentionally identify individual users.

3. LOCATION INFORMATION

SCRAPDIG may collect precise or approximate location information when users enable location access. Location data may be used for: Pickup services, Address verification, Route optimization, Service availability, and Operational efficiency.

Users may disable location permissions through device settings; however, certain services or features may become unavailable or function improperly.

4. WASTE IMAGES AND USER CONTENT

Users may upload images, descriptions, or other content related to waste pickup requests. By uploading content, users confirm that:

• They own the content or possess necessary rights and permissions;
• The content does not violate applicable laws or third-party rights;
• The content does not contain unlawful, harmful, misleading, or prohibited material.

SCRAPDIG may use uploaded content for pickup verification, operational purposes, service quality monitoring, internal analytics/training, and customer support. SCRAPDIG does not sell individual uploaded user content to third parties.

5. PAYMENT AND WALLET INFORMATION

SCRAPDIG may maintain wallet balances, transaction records, and payment-related information for operational and legal purposes. Payments may be processed through authorized third-party payment service providers including but not limited to Razorpay.

SCRAPDIG does not store: Full card numbers, Banking passwords, CVV numbers, or Sensitive banking credentials. Payment processing may be subject to separate policies of third-party payment providers.

6. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

SCRAPDIG may use third-party service providers including Firebase, Razorpay, Cloud hosting providers, Analytics providers, and Communication service providers. These providers may process limited information necessary for operational purposes.

SCRAPDIG is not responsible for the independent privacy practices, policies, or security standards of third-party platforms, websites, or services. Users are encouraged to review third-party privacy policies separately.

7. DATA SECURITY

SCRAPDIG implements commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures intended to protect user information against unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, disclosure, loss, or destruction.

However, no digital platform, internet transmission, or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Users acknowledge and accept that internet-based services inherently involve security risks, and unauthorized access or cyber incidents may occur despite reasonable safeguards.

To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, SCRAPDIG shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from unauthorized access, hacking, data breaches, or events beyond reasonable control.

8. DATA RETENTION

SCRAPDIG may retain user information for as long as reasonably necessary for operational purposes, service delivery, legal compliance, fraud prevention, financial reconciliation, dispute resolution, regulatory obligations, and internal recordkeeping.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and applicable legal requirements. Even after account deletion requests, certain information may be retained where legally required or reasonably necessary for legitimate business purposes.

9. ACCOUNT DELETION REQUESTS

Users may request account deletion through official SCRAPDIG support channels. Upon verification of account ownership, SCRAPDIG may process deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe.

Certain information may be deleted, anonymized, or restricted from active systems where reasonably feasible. Some records may continue to be retained for legal, compliance, fraud-prevention, taxation, dispute-resolution, security, or operational purposes. SCRAPDIG reserves the right to deny or delay deletion requests where required by law, regulatory obligations, investigations, fraud prevention, or legitimate operational interests.

10. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

SCRAPDIG does not knowingly target or intentionally collect personal information from children below the age permitted under applicable laws. If minors access the Platform, such usage should occur only under parental or guardian supervision.

Parents or guardians are responsible for monitoring minor activity on the Platform. If SCRAPDIG becomes aware that personal information of a child has been collected without appropriate authorization where required, reasonable steps may be taken to delete such information.

11. DATA SHARING POLICY

SCRAPDIG does not sell personal user data to third parties. However, SCRAPDIG may share limited information:

• With payment processors
• With logistics or pickup personnel
• With operational vendors
• With cloud hosting providers
• With analytics providers
• With legal authorities where required by law
• During fraud investigations
• During dispute resolution & compliance
• To protect the safety or operations of SCRAPDIG

Information may also be disclosed in connection with mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, investment, or asset transfers, or where disclosure is reasonably necessary for business continuity or operational transition.

SCRAPDIG may use cookies, analytics tools, device identifiers, and similar technologies to improve user experience, analyze platform usage, monitor performance, detect fraud or misuse, and maintain operational functionality.

14. CROSS-BORDER DATA PROCESSING

User information may be processed, transferred, or stored on servers and systems located in different jurisdictions through cloud or third-party infrastructure providers.

By using SCRAPDIG, users consent to such transfer, storage, and processing of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

SCRAPDIG reserves the right to modify or update this Privacy Policy at any time. Updated versions may be published within the application, website, or other official communication channels.

Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.

16. LIMITATION OF PRIVACY LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, SCRAPDIG shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages related to privacy incidents, unauthorized access, third-party actions, technical failures, or events beyond reasonable control.

Users acknowledge that no system can be completely secure or uninterrupted, and users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their devices, login credentials, and account access. Nothing in this Policy excludes liabilities that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
